The Role

As
Quality Team Lead (QTL)
, you will take day-to-day ownership of quality operations on site, leading a team of 6. You'll be the bridge between
production, customers, and suppliers
, ensuring that all products meet stringent OEM standards. This position combines hands-on shop-floor engagement with structured problem solving, coaching, and leadership.

You will:

  • Monitor daily quality performance, analyse deviations, and take swift corrective actions.
  • Lead quality planning and documentation (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, MSA).
  • Drive root cause analysis using tools such as
    8D
    ,
    5Why
    ,
    Fishbone
    ,
    Pareto
    , and
    PFMEA
    .
  • Manage dimensional issues, deciding whether to rework, use, or scrap parts.
  • Ensure effective communication with production, suppliers, and OEM customers.
  • Coach and develop the team, hold daily workload and performance reviews, and foster accountability.
  • Plan and monitor metrology, audits, and product approvals in line with
    IATF 16949
    and
    VDA 6.3
    .

Requirements

  • Automotive sector background
    (Tier-1 or Tier-2 supplier level) – essential.
  • Deep knowledge of
    IATF 16949
    ,
    VDA 6.3
    (certification big plus).
  • Hands-on experience with
    8D, 5Why, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC
    .
  • Track record of managing and improving performance in quality teams.
  • Confident under pressure and comfortable making independent decisions on the shop floor.
  • Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Fluent German (C1 minimum)
    and strong English communication skills.
