THE OPPORTUNITY: UNLOCK THE NEXT GROWTH PHASE

This isn't an optimization role. We're looking for a product principal who will be at the intersection of our product vision and our commercial engine. Your mandate is to identify and drive the highest-impact initiatives that will fuel commercial growth in the short-term, while working on the strategic expansion of our existing business model to unlock the next phase of business growth. Reporting directly to the Director of Product, you will be working in a strategic tandem with another senior PPM and a dedicated, cross-functional squad team to collectively own the growth charter. This position has C-level visibility, and your work will fundamentally change our business.

Your Mandate

• Own the Dual Horizon: You will be responsible for both long-term strategic bets and short-term P&L impact. This means you'll lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives like launching new business verticals or integrating the Zalando loyalty program, while simultaneously driving the fast-iteration roadmap that hits quarterly targets, such as new payment or carrier integrations.

• Be the Commercial Product Authority: You will partner directly with leadership across Commercial, Strategy, and Finance to translate P&L goals into a world-class customer experience. You are expected to build and prioritize a holistic growth portfolio and translate massive business goals into tangible customer value.

• Execute in a Complex Ecosystem: You will navigate the broader Zalando organization, building coalitions and aligning stakeholders across central platform teams, legal, and marketing to deliver on your vision. You don't just manage dependencies; you anticipate and resolve them before they become roadblocks.

• Define AI-Native Product Management: We expect you to be a pioneer in integrating AI and GenAI into your core workflows for discovery, analysis, and execution. Your role is to act as a thought leader, pushing the boundaries of the PM craft and inspiring the rest of the organization.

Your Profile

• A Proven Builder: You have 8+ years in product management with a clear track record of shipping large-scale, successful consumer-facing products, ideally in e-commerce.

• Radical Owner: You have a bias for action and a history of making tough calls with imperfect information. You possess the executive presence to communicate your rationale with clarity and conviction.

• Battle-Tested in Scale: You thrive in high-paced, large-scale matrixed organizations. You have the scars to prove you know how to get things done.

• A Pragmatic AI Pioneer: You can demonstrate how you've already used AI to be a more effective PM and are excited to define what's next.

• Commercially Native: You are fluent in financial modeling and business cases. You have a history of working directly with commercial teams to drive alignment and achieve shared goals.
