Presales Engineer

What does a Presales Engineer do?

You will lead the integration of automated CRYOVAC food packaging solutions and champion Vertical Pouch Packaging (VPP) systems across Switzerland and EMEA. Acting as a technical co-pilot to the sales team, you'll design, implement, and optimize equipment solutions that meet customer needs and drive strategic growth.

• To champion Vertical Pouch Packaging (VPP) innovation.
  You'll be our go-to expert for VPP systems, driving growth by integrating automated solutions into new and existing markets. Your creativity and technical insight will help us stay ahead in the Food Service industry.
• To design smart, customer-focused equipment layouts.
  You'll turn customer expectations into efficient, tailored packaging systems. Your technical design skills and understanding of automation will make a real impact on how we deliver value.
• To support our sales teams with compelling proposals.
  You'll collaborate closely with sales to prepare quotations and offers that resonate with customers. Your ability to build strong value arguments and perform financial analysis will help close deals.
• To coordinate external partners and internal teams.
  You'll select the right partners, build project teams, and ensure seamless delivery of equipment solutions. Your coordination skills and attention to detail will keep everything running smoothly.
• To ensure successful installations and training.
  You'll work with our Service and Application teams to make sure customers are fully supported during equipment setup. Your hands-on approach and communication skills will ensure a great experience
• To explore and integrate new technologies.
  You'll scout for innovative equipment and integration opportunities, helping us expand our portfolio. Your curiosity and technical judgment will shape the future of our offerings.
• To collaborate across functions and regions.
  You'll work with Supply Chain, Development, and EMEA leadership to improve our VPP solutions. Your ability to connect ideas and people will help us deliver smarter, more competitive products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Training in technical application, mechanics, or electromechanics.
• Project management experience and familiarity with food industry processes are advantageous.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Experience in proactive problem solving and conflict management.
• Living in South Germany, close to the border with Switzerland. Willingness to travel 50% of the time within Switzerland and abroad.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Projects, MS Access, SAP or equivalent tools.
