Your future tasks

• We rely on your expertise when it comes to operating and monitoring balancing groups in Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
• You ensure accurate nomination and scheduling of energy volumes (electricity and gas).
• Coordinating physical delivery and receipt of energy volumes across markets and managing balancing group cooperation agreements and related contracts is part of your job.
• You support the development and implementation of energy logistics services for external partners.
• Conducting trading activities as part of EEX 24/7 operations and actively contributing to the design and implementation of new balancing group structures and services is one of your tasks.
• You lead and support cross-functional projects to improve systems, processes, and governance.
• You develop and optimize forecasting models to reduce balancing energy costs.
• Participating in the setup of new markets and expansion of our international balancing group portfolio is one of your responsibilities.
• You ensure compliance with national and international market rules and regulatory requirements.
• Furthermore, you support emergency and crisis management processes and you maintain full audit traceability and documentation of balancing group activities.
• You work closely with Trading, Risk, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless integration of balancing group processes
• Contributing to system enhancements and process improvements as well as supporting the roll-out of new tools, interfaces, and digital solutions rounds off your area of responsibility.

YOU AS A PERSON

• 3+ years of experience in balancing group management, energy logistics, or energy trading
• Strong understanding of energy market processes and regulatory frameworks in DE, AT, IT, NL, and CH
• Proven experience in electricity and gas markets, including nomination, scheduling, and balancing
• Experience in balancing and accounting of biomethane and biogas volumes
• Experience with forecasting, nomination, and scheduling tools
• Familiarity with ETRM systems and energy data platforms
• Bonus: Experience with 24/7 trading environments and emergency management
• Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
• Analytical, structured, and proactive mindset with a hands-on attitude
• Passion for building new structures and driving change
• Willingness to travel within the mentioned countries
