Network Engineer – Mobility (Space Communications) (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
Role Purpose:
Responsible for designing and optimizing mobile network elements that enable secure, resilient, and high-performance data exchange between ground and space.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mobile network architectures (user access) for various environments (e.g., mobile terminals, ground vehicles, maritime, airborne platforms)
- Define routing strategies, access control, and service delivery models tailored to user needs and operational constraints
- Ensure seamless integration with core, backhaul, and satellite networks, supporting roaming, mobility, and dynamic link management
- Plan and execute integration of mobile networks, including management and control functions
- Optimize user segment network performance, focusing on latency, throughput, reliability, and user experience
- Coordinate subcontractors for user terminal development, edge network integration, and field deployment
- Contribute to innovative R&D initiatives (AI-driven routing, quantum communication, SDN)
Your Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in network engineering and mobile network application development
- Strong knowledge of mobile network standards
- Experience in developing end-to-end mobile network applications
- Familiarity with network simulation tools (e.g., ns-3, OPNET) and Linux-based systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity in networks and secure communication protocols
- Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities
- Cisco or Juniper certifications a plus
