As part of our strategic expansion into Europe, Sedgman has officially opened its first European office in Frankfurt, Germany. This marks an exciting chapter in our growth as we support major critical raw materials projects. Our team is at the forefront of delivering innovative, sustainable engineering solutions that drive the energy transition across Europe.

To support this growth, we're looking for an experienced HSE Manager to join our Frankfurt team.

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing health, safety, and environmental initiatives across our projects. You will ensure compliance with local regulations and Sedgman's global HSE standards, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

As the HSE Manager, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with German and EU HSE legislation and Sedgman standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training, audits, and engagement.
  • Support project teams in risk assessments and HSE planning.
  • Monitor HSE performance and report on key metrics.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting and compliance.

You are a qualified HSE professional with the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of HSE experience, preferably in engineering, mining, or construction sectors.
  • You bring leadership, communication, and analytical skills to drive HSE performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of German HSE legislation and EU directives.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSSE regulations specific to project regions.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Advantageous certifications in construction safety / management (e.g., SiGeKo under German construction law).
