Overview

We are looking for a
Microsoft 365 Teams Specialist
with deep expertise in
Microsoft Teams
, focusing on
voice collaboration, PSTN, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and call center integrations
. This role combines
technical administration, operational support, governance, and strategic advisory
responsibilities within the
M365 ecosystem
.

The ideal candidate will have strong
Microsoft Teams voice experience
, proficiency with
M365 services
, and a solid understanding of
telephony, VoIP, and enterprise voice governance
.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support:

  • Provide
    2nd and 3rd level support
    for
    Microsoft Teams
    , especially
    voice functionalities, PSTN, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and call center integrations
    (e.g., AudioCodes, Anywhere365, Genesys Cloud).
  • Troubleshoot and manage escalations for complex
    Teams voice incidents
    .
  • Participate in
    on-call rotation
    to ensure operational continuity.
  • Serve as the
    technical point of contact
    for internal departments, external vendors, L1/L5 support, and COE teams.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Document and maintain operational processes in line with
    governance, audit, and regulatory compliance
    (EU/German regulations, ISO).
  • Participate in QA audits and service level reporting within the
    M365 governance framework
    .
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance in enterprise
    telephony systems
    .

Integration & Platform Development:

  • Support ongoing development of the
    Teams platform
    and integration of new
    Microsoft 365 features
    .
  • Provide consulting on
    M365 products
    and their interaction with
    Microsoft Teams
    (e.g., SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Power Platform).
  • Promote best practices and support
    digital transformation initiatives
    .

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and maintain
    SOPs
    for operational stability.
  • Provide functional leadership and mentoring within the team for
    Microsoft Teams and M365 voice collaboration
    .
  • Act as a liaison between IT leadership and operational teams to align
    M365 and Teams strategy
    with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience administering
    Microsoft Teams
    , including
    voice functionalities
    .
  • Experience with
    PSTN, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and call center integrations
    .
  • Proficiency in
    PowerShell
    for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of
    M365 services
    and their interfaces.
  • Familiarity with
    ITIL processes
    and service management tools.
  • Experience with
    Power BI
    and
    QoE reports
    for monitoring system performance.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols,
    VoIP, PSTN, SIP
    , and
    emergency calling configurations
    (Emergency Calling Policies, Normalization Rules, LBR, E911 setup).
  • Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting:
  • Microsoft Teams Phone System
  • Teams Room Systems
  • Audio/video peripherals and related hardware

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical thinking with a structured working style.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with governance and compliance requirements.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified Teams Administrator Associate (MS700)
  • Microsoft Certified Teams Voice Engineer Expert (MS720)
  • Additional certifications like
    MS900, MS101
    are a plus

Minimum Experience:
3–7+ years in
Microsoft Teams administration and voice collaboration
