Credit Solutions – Trader

Team overview

The Credit Solutions business sits within Global Financing and Credit Trading ("GFCT").  The business has a broad mandate covering origination and risk management of financing against a range of assets, in particular :

• Providing financing to funds secured either by marketable assets (repo/TRS), uncalled committed, private assets (PE, CRE, Debt)

• Participating in Insurance financing and providing balance sheet to capital light platforms (e.g. fin-techs)

• Cross product financing solutions to various clients (corporate, CRE, PF, financials..) using desk's risk capacity and distributions channels, with a focus to leverage risk capacity of DB's investor client base

Credit Solutions is an integral part of the GFCT platform within Fixed Income and Currencies. Credit Solutions has desks in Frankfurt and London, covering the EMEA region. This particular role will be based in Frankfurt.

You will work closely with various other trading desks (illiquid credit trading, I&E, ABF, DL …), banking (leveraged finance and industry groups), structuring and various origination and distribution channels (ICG).

Key responsibilities

• Support deal origination by performing market research and preparing pitch materials

• Support the structuring and execution of transactions involving a variety of financial instruments

• Prepare and participate in meetings with target borrower and lender clients

• Review and build complex financial models in relation to complex transactions

• Conduct due diligence processes, engagements with management teams and the negotiation of financing/transaction documentation

• Manage day-to-day tasks for internal approval processes including credit, regulatory, market risk etc.

Skills / experience

• Strong academic background: Proven academic excellence, with a Bachelor's degree in Business / Economics or equivalent relevant experience, demonstrating a solid foundation for complex financial roles.

• Practical experience in financial product development and analysis: Demonstrated ability in pitching, pricing, and modeling various debt structures (ABS, corporate, infrastructure), as well as developing hedging strategies for financial derivatives, including experience with various financial instruments and markets.

• Advanced analytical and modeling skills: Proficiency in conducting thorough financial analysis, including assessing credit quality, developing complex financial models (particularly using Python), and analyzing structured products. Experience with due diligence and interpreting transactional data is highly valued.

• Effective communication and collaboration: Excellent and proven ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including originators, legal advisors, and sales teams, and to present complex financial information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

• Keen interest and awareness of market dynamics and trends: Active engagement in market discussions and a clear understanding of macro market and industry trends, as evidenced by participation in investment clubs and academic work related to financial modeling.

• International experience: Experiences abroad (including academic exchanges/professional) are an asset
