Senior Product Owner

THE ROLE:

As Senior Product Owner (m/f/d) – UMS (Universal Management Suite), you will lead the agile delivery of IGEL's management platform that orchestrates, configures, and monitors thousands of IGEL OS endpoints worldwide. You will drive modernization of the UMS platform — ensuring it remains scalable, cloud-ready, and user-friendly — while enabling seamless integration with the broader IGEL ecosystem. This role requires a technically grounded PO with strong experience in enterprise software delivery, API-driven systems, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the agile delivery of major UMS features and platform enhancements, ensuring reliability, scalability, and usability
• Manage and prioritize the UMS product backlog in collaboration with Product Management and Architecture
• Work closely with development, QA, UX, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable software
• Translate product vision and customer needs into actionable user stories, clear acceptance criteria, and technical context
• Oversee sprint execution, backlog refinement, and release readiness across multiple development streams
• Collaborate with Support and Presales to gather structured feedback from enterprise customers and partners
• Contribute to the evolution of UMS toward a hybrid and cloud-managed architecture aligned with IGEL's strategic roadmap
• Mentor and support other POs in the UMS area to ensure consistency in execution and backlog hygiene

Collaboration Touchpoints

• Reports to: Principal Product Owner
• Works closely with: Product Management, Development, QA, UX, and Architecture teams
• Engages periodically with: Support and Presales to capture operational feedback and validate user impact

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6–9 years of experience in Product Ownership or Technical Delivery for enterprise or management software
• Strong technical background with knowledge of client-server systems, REST APIs, and database-driven applications
• Experience delivering complex backend systems or platform-level applications in agile environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality releases on time

Preferred Background

• Experience in device management, MDM, or endpoint orchestration platforms
• Familiarity with Java-based architectures, microservices, or modern backend frameworks
• Understanding of authentication, role-based access, and enterprise scalability
• Exposure to UI modernization and user-centric design workflows
