Job Description for Finance Controller (Europe Center)

I. Job Responsibilities

Overall responsible for the execution of financial operations for the entire European region. Develop financial plans (e.g., cost optimization, capital efficiency improvement, tax compliance system establishment) in alignment with business development goals; implement and optimize the full-cycle financial control system covering investment & financing, capital, taxation, and accounting; coordinate the implementation of group headquarters' financial policies; and fulfill the financial functions of service and supervision.

Participate in the design and implementation of investment & financing solutions in the European region, including expanding channels such as bank credit and supply chain finance to reduce financing costs. Engage in financial due diligence for regional investment projects (e.g., mergers & acquisitions, new project establishment), prepare feasibility analysis reports, and control investment risks.

Manage regional capital, including bank account management, capital budgeting, capital receipts and payments, and capital compliance. Ensure the safe and efficient use of capital and avoid capital risks.

Conduct in-depth research on tax policies of various European countries (e.g., corporate income tax, value-added tax, digital services tax, CBAM carbon border tax) and EU tax regulations. Design compliant and optimal tax solutions based on the regional business structure, utilize tax treaties to avoid double taxation, and legally enjoy preferential policies such as R&D tax credits.

Oversee tax declaration and payment for all entities in the region, lead the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and filing of contemporaneous documentation, respond to tax authority audits, and ensure zero tax compliance risks across the entire region.

Promote localized accounting and financial statement analysis in various European countries, standardize accounting processes (e.g., revenue recognition, cost allocation, asset depreciation), ensure the authenticity and accuracy of financial data, and meet the disclosure requirements of both the headquarters and local regulatory authorities.

Conduct business analysis based on financial data (e.g., revenue and profit, cost changes, ROI), prepare regional financial analysis reports to provide data support for management decision-making, and cooperate with external auditors to complete annual audit work.

Identify financial risks in the European region, focus on monitoring risks such as capital, taxation, and exchange rates, and resolve potential issues in financial processes (e.g., compliance of cross-border capital flows, financial control loopholes in subsidiaries).

II. Job Requirements

1. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in Finance Management, Accounting, Finance, or related majors. Candidates with professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.

Over 8 years of financial work experience, including at least 5 years of international financial management experience. Practical experience in cross-border investment and trade (e.g., cross-border financing, financial and tax due diligence, transfer pricing) is required. Familiarity with the rules of the Eurozone financial market is a plus. Knowledge of EU and major European countries' (Germany/France/UK, etc.) tax policies and IFRS standards is essential.

2. Competence Requirements

Professional Competence: Proficient in cross-border capital management, international tax planning, and consolidated financial statement preparation. Capable of solving complex financial problems.

Language and Communication Skills: English proficiency at working level; proficiency in European languages such as German or French is preferred. Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate between the headquarters, European subsidiaries, and external institutions (banks, tax authorities, auditors).

Risk Awareness: Sensitive to European financial compliance risks (e.g., anti-money laundering, data compliance) and possess strong risk identification and response capabilities.

Willingness to travel short-term within the European region (e.g., to the locations of various subsidiaries). Good stress resistance and team management skills.
