Your mission

Do you enjoy supporting students throughout their academic journey, fostering international perspectives, and actively shaping campus life? Then join our team and take on a key role within the Student Services & International Office at XU.

Student Services & Campus Life

  • Serve as the central point of contact for students regarding organizational and study-related matters

  • Manage administrative processes, including enrollment, deregistration, and contract and termination management

  • Organize and coordinate summer and winter intakes as well as semester kick-off and welcome-back events

  • Plan, organize, and deliver student events such as Academic After Hours, parties, and fair visits

  • Organize the Graduation Ceremony and other campus highlights

  • Work closely with the Student Council and internal teams

International Office & Mobility

  • Provide holistic support to international students from pre-arrival through graduation

  • Advise on visa and residence matters, health insurance, accommodation, and integration

  • Support incoming and outgoing students within mobility programs

  • Organize intercultural welcome events, workshops, and information sessions

  • Collaborate with external partners such as public authorities, the DAAD, and partner universities

Organization & Budget

  • Contribute to the development and digitalization of internal processes

  • Maintain relevant data, content, and web pages

  • Take responsibility for budget planning, cost control, and efficient use of resources

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training or a degree, ideally in education management, international office administration, event management, public administration, or a comparable field

  • Initial to several years of professional experience in a higher education, educational, or international environment is an advantage

  • Strong service mindset and genuine enjoyment in working with students

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with a structured and independent working style

  • High intercultural competence, empathy, and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs

  • Strong communication skills and a confident, professional demeanor

  • Interest in event management, community building, and international exchange

  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills

  • Confident use of MS Office and openness toward digital tools and process optimization
