We are looking for you to join our headquarters in Hamburg's HafenCity

Your new job includes
As a Business Process Expert (m/f/d) Customs, you will gather, precisely define, and prepare business requirements for SAP systems and functionalities, both for new developments and enhancements. This also includes reporting requirements and, in some cases, the analysis of data structures.

In particular, you will

  • monitor EU and German legislation in customs and excise law and assess its impact on business processes and goods flows
  • act as an interface to IT to optimize processes and implement legal requirements
  • translate business and customs-related requirements into reports for stakeholders (e.g. customs authorities, internal audit) and develop analyses and recommendations to improve customs operations
  • contribute to customs-related projects and take ownership of work packages, including responsibility for process optimization and implementation, as well as support in reporting customs KPIs
  • take on the functional leadership of internal key users

Preferred Profile

  • Successfully completed degree in Business Informatics or Economics with a focus on IT processes
  • Several years of experience in customs-related environments as well as sound knowledge of EU and German customs and excise tax regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP GTS, ERP, and EWM, as well as good understanding of the software requirements for ATLAS and EMCS
  • Strong analytical thinking, high level of personal responsibility, deep understanding of SAP processes, and experience in process management and optimization
  • Confident demeanor, strong communication skills across all hierarchical levels, hands-on mentality, and quick grasp of complex situations in dynamic environments
  • Business-fluent in German and English
