About Us
At IP Innovative Power, we partner with real estate companies to drive the energy transition and decarbonisation through renewable energy solutions, including solar, battery storage, heat pumps, CHP, EV charging, and more. As we expand, we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our team and support our mission with robust legal guidance.
Your Role
As Legal Counsel, you will be the primary legal advisor for the company, working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams. You will ensure legal compliance across operations, support strategic decisions, and help shape the legal framework for our growing portfolio of energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise company leadership on legal matters and strategic decisions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including energy supply agreements, EPC, O&M, rental, leasing, and other types of agreements.
- Oversee and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Monitor internal processes for legal compliance, especially in data protection, labour law, and corporate governance.
- Track and interpret changes in energy legislation and regulations, ensuring timely contract adaptations.
- Support business development activities, including NDAs and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal input on operational matters and contract implementation.
- Collaborate with accounting and billing teams on legal aspects of financial operations.
Your Profile
- Qualified lawyer with strong experience in commercial and energy law.
- Proven expertise in:
- Green energy systems such as solar, batteries, heat pumps, CHP, EV charging.
- Contract law, especially energy-related agreements (PPAs, supply, rental, M&A, real estate).
- Project management and process optimisation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
