Job Description Summary:
In this position, you will join a dynamic team of PayPal POS (Junior) Sales Manager who focus on partnering with small to medium-sized business (SMB) merchants. Your role involves utilizing a consultative sales approach within the instore and omni-channel space, combining your potential existing connections and knowledge of both the payments and SaaS sectors. Your primary objective will be to win and onboard Instore-First Net New Merchants to the PayPal platform, ensuring they are equipped with the best solutions for their business needs. This role will cover the German market. Our team is field-based and highly ambitious, dedicated to driving the adoption of world-class SMB solutions. We operate primarily within the European market with a strong emphasis on understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by local small businesses. As a Market Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with a team of like-minded professionals who share a deep passion for supporting SMBs and helping them thrive in today's competitive market.

Area Sales Manager is responsible for creating demand for PayPal POS (Point of Sale) products and services across their territory, by increasing our awareness and credibility within small business communities. This is a field-based role, responsible for targeting, qualifying and closing SMB single & multi-site operators.
Each day, you will act as a champion for SMBs and our organization, demonstrating your in-depth knowledge and passion for the local geography and the specific needs of small businesses. You will engage with potential clients, offering tailored solutions to help them succeed. Through your efforts, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and driving growth for both our merchants and PayPal.
Your day to day
- Stimulate demand for PayPal's POS products and services in Munich/Stuttgart/Frankfurt by increasing awareness and credibility within small business communities
- Target, qualify, and close SMB single & multi-site operators in a hybrid field-based role
- Manage the sales cycle from identifying new business opportunities to closing new accounts
- Achieve monthly revenue targets and OKRs aligned with company objectives
- Present and consult confidently with prospective merchants, demonstrating how Zettle's solutions add value to their businesses.
What You Need To Bring
- A minimum of 1+ years of sales experience, preferably focusing on new business acquisition
- Proficiency in German and business-level English
- A self-driven, dedicated, and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who can drive revenue growth in a fast-paced sales environment
- Proven track record of overperformance in a sales role, ideally within Payments or SaaS
- Strong customer-centric approach, excellent negotiating and consultative skills
