We're looking for an driven and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - (m/f/d) to build and scale the technical foundation and team of one of our ecosystem companies - an early-stage, AI-first SaaS venture on a mission to strengthen Europe's industrial backbone.

As CTO, you'll join at a true inflection point: when every technical decision shapes the company's trajectory. You'll turn vision into product, attract exceptional engineers, and build technology that transforms how industrial operations run across Europe.

Join the A11 Ecosystem: This company develops AI agents that automate procurement and supply chain processes for mid-sized manufacturers — the "hidden champions" driving Europe's economy. With active customers, strong momentum, and €5M+ in funding from top-tier investors, you'll be part of a six-person founding team building the company's engineering function and setting the pace for what's next.

In this role, you'll:
  • Build and own the technical foundation: from architecture and infrastructure to deployment.
  • Work hands-on (approx. 50%) across Python, , TypeScript, and to bring new features into production
  • Partner closely with the founders to translate product vision into scalable, high-performing systems.
  • Lead the integration of AI capabilities including LLM orchestration, RAG, and intelligent agent workflows.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop the first engineers, establishing a culture of high velocity, ownership and pragmatic execution.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to translate operational pain points into scalable, automated solutions.
  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical excellence and scalability.
Your Profile: 
  • 5–10 years of experience in software engineering with strong full-stack ability (Python, , TypeScript, ).
  • Solid understanding of system design, architecture, and data flow in production SaaS systems.
  • Experience building or integrating AI-driven features (LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, agentic systems).
  • Background in SaaS or enterprise software; familiarity with manufacturing or ERP environments is a plus
  • Experience leading small teams or owning major technical initiatives in early-stage environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and turn ideas into working systems.
  • Strong leadership through example – you attract and inspire talented engineers.

This position is based in Berlin or Munich, with regular travel to the company's headquarters in Berlin.
