VP People

As our VP People (f/m/d), you will ensure that Hive continues to be both a high-performing organization and a caring, supportive employer. You will own all People functions, from Business Partnering and People Operations to Talent Acquisition, and lead a team of 15–20 to help Hive scale to the next level.

• Dynamic and impactful role: You will shape how our 450+ team members (and many more to come) collaborate, grow, and thrive. Your work will directly impact how Hive performs as a company.
• Global scope: You will lead and align our people strategy across teams in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, the UK and beyond, ensuring both local compliance and a unified Hive culture across countries.
• High ownership and influence: You will have full ownership of all people topics at Hive and be a trusted member of the management board, shaping how we work, grow, and support our people.

• Proven people leadership: You have successfully led and scaled People teams at the VP, Director or Head level, demonstrating exceptional impact on the organizations you've worked for.
• Start-up / scale-up experience: You bring experience from fast-paced, venture-backed environments, ideally at the growth stage Hive is entering (from 400 to 1000 people), and know how to balance structure with agility.
• Strategic and data-driven mindset: You combine strategic thinking with analytical rigor. You know how to identify key People priorities, make data-informed decisions, leverage AI, and align People strategy with business outcomes.
• Performance orientation: You view the People function as the 'product manager' of how a company works: its systems, culture, and rituals. You make Hive the most high-performing company it can be, while ensuring it remains a caring and empowering workplace for our team members to grow in.
• Exceptional communication: You communicate clearly and empathetically in English, fostering trust and alignment across teams and leadership levels.
• Berlin-based (or willing to relocate): We believe great people leadership happens best in person. For this role, being primarily based in Berlin is a requirement.
