In our
Logistics Team
, you'll tackle high-impact challenges that make last-mile delivery efficient, affordable, and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders, end customers, and merchants across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimize delivery operations, supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.
The Optimization tribe as a whole owns the central piece of the Logistics architecture with a set of services responsible for finding the best rider for every order. We enable this by solving the Vehicle Routing Problem at scale as well as building tools for operations managers and of course in close collaboration with the rider app itself which drives the whole experience and provides transparency at all times.
- Own and define the long-term vision and strategy for several Tier 1 services at the core of the Optimization architecture. Expanding the horizon from "now and next" to a clear multi-quarter direction that is aligned with the company targets.
- Create and foster a domain-wide culture of clarity and alignment: ensure requirements are consistently gathered, and all stakeholders (tech, business, and regional) deeply understand the "why" behind your roadmap. Align upstream/downstream teams on shared goals, ensure follow-through of interconnected initiatives.
- Craft high-quality product specifications for complex, interconnected systems, and guide cross-functional teams to pragmatic, scalable solutions that fit into the broader Logistics platform.
- Use data as a strategic asset: influence KPI and target setting, guide squads to make data-driven decisions, and proactively identify opportunities to embed ML/DS enhancements into our routing workflows.
- Champion product delivery excellence: ensure work is sliced effectively, dependencies are anticipated and escalated early, timelines are aligned across multiple teams.
- Act as a senior sparring partner to Engineering: translate engineering concepts to business stakeholders, help shape system architecture decisions, and contribute past technical experience to solve new challenges.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong focus on technical, infrastructure, or platform-level products.
- Proven track record of defining and delivering large-scale, high-load distributed systems that are foundational for other services.
- Deep understanding of backend architectures, service dependencies, and routing/optimization systems in complex environments.
- Expert in using data, SQL, experimentation, and analytics to inform decisions, influence KPIs, and validate impact.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team initiatives, negotiate trade-offs, and remove blockers across multiple engineering and business organizations.
- Strong communication skills: able to tailor complex concepts to diverse audiences and build trust with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for raising product quality, evolving strategy, and coaching others.
Nice to have:
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience working closely with Research / Data Science teams, especially on DS or ML-driven systems.
- Previous work in routing, logistics, or optimization-heavy problem spaces.
