Role Description: Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to join our team as a Software Test Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing processes. You will work closely with developers and product teams to identify, document, and resolve issues, ensuring that software products meet both functional and performance standards before they are released to users.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be involved in manual and automated testing, troubleshooting bugs, and verifying that software meets the specified requirements. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of the final product, making your attention to detail and ability to identify defects essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure software functionality and quality.
  • Perform manual and automated testing across different environments and platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed bug reports to development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and functionalities.
  • Analyze and validate test results, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Ensure software meets performance, security, and usability requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Knowledge of manual testing techniques and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly document test results and defects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is an advantage but not required.
