Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam's mission encapsulates its role as the "eyes" of KLA's product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsKey contact for system related questions for all disciplines – design, electronics, S/W and applicationSystem ownership for eBeam based metrology-, inspection- and review-systems at the Weilburg location  Support customer escalations (fly and fix) by driving root cause analysis using 7-step / 8D at European customer sites and also worldwide.Good command of German and English, spoken and writtenAnalytical approach to solve problems/technical challengesAbility to work in an international teamWillingness to travel (up to 50%)Minimum QualificationsHigher education (>= Master), engineer (electrical engineer, mechanical engineer) or physicist ideally with specialization in electron beam microscopy Start as young professional (NCG) possible, 2-3 years professional experience or secondary professional training in this area preferredExperiences: Practical experience in working with complex systems as a whole (system understanding) - ideally electron source, electron optics (charged particle optics), detectors, probe handling, vacuum systems, control engineering and calibration techniquesStrong analytical methods/techniques"Feels comfortable in ambiguous situations"Strong communication and presentation skills to customer and peersImage processing and image analysis and their basic algorithmsBasic statistical methods to assess data and resultsMatlab / Python We offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
