Job Title: Product Quality Expert for Battery Technology Center (w/m/d)

Location: Unterschleißheim (Munich Region), Deutschland

Position Description:

We are looking for a
Product Quality Expert (w/m/d)
to join our Munich team. This position reports to the Team Lead BTC (Battery Technology Center) and supports the European BTC Team, working on documentation for decision making, Information management, Technology approval & handover etc. Focus on Battery Housings for EV´s and PHEV´s, Crash Management Systems (CMS), Body Structural Parts etc.

In this role, you are expected to be responsible for:

• Consult on DFMEA and PFMEA processes within all project phases
• Support Project Team to consider quality aspects in the design
• Review and evaluate specifications in regards of quality requirements, customer documentation
• Communicate with customers on clarification of specifications, completing customer documents, complaints, process changes in regards of quality
• Participate in project reviews to ensure quality aspects according OEM requirements
• Plan, coordinate test method & validation activities to fulfill new product quality requirements
• Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) in order to implement necessary actions and to provide lessons learnt to the management
• Author and execute Quality plans for Quality Management system
• Work together with Minth China team & Plants on quality improvements: Quality Check lists; Evaluation of technical concepts regarding quality fulfillment acc. Minth and OEM requirements; Identify quality risks on design and process in the plant
• Consolidate and present to OEM D-FMEA Design-Failure-Method-Effect-Analysis) and P-FMEA (Process-Failure-Method-Effect-Analysis) for getting robust products and processes acc. VDA
• Initiate and perform root cause analysis, using statistical and capability analysis to solve problems
• To set-up regular Lessons Learned sessions and workshops for Best Practice reviews, in aspect of quality improvements in the design and process
• Ensure that the defined Project Quality objectives (QMS) are achieved by measuring, auditing and by implementing necessary actions to resolve quality issues on the project
• Support on internal and external audits
• Willingness for business trips to plants mainly in EU & partially in China

Following qualifications and abilities are expected for this role:

Background:

• Engineering education (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, automotive engineering or similar) or comparable degree in similar fields for Project Quality contracts
• Experience in field of Quality, engineering, Manufacturing
• 3-5 year experience in project quality field
• Certified Six Sigma yellow/green
• ASQ certified quality engineer and/or auditor

Ability:

• Very Good knowledge/certified on automotive quality standards like IATF 16949, ISO14001, ISO45001
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Demonstrate ability to influence others
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong compliance focus & personal integrity
• Experience on FMEA process according VDA
• Process-oriented thinking as well as an independent, structured and proactive working method and Self-management
• Experience with project work and presentation skills
• Good experience with MS Office, MS Project, FMEA software
• Willingness to necessary business trips
• International Mindset
• German and English language skills are necessary; Chinese language or further others will be a plus
