Specialist RF Engineer

We are partnering with a leading space technology company based in Germany. Our client, a global player in the aerospace industry, is seeking a talented Specialist in RF technology to join their innovative team. With a focus on navigation and telecom payload, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of space technology.

Your Role:

As a Specialist in RF, your primary mission will be to lead the design, development, and implementation of the RF section of the Navigation/Telecom payload. You'll be at the forefront of groundbreaking projects, contributing to the success of space missions and satellite communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model and assess critical parameters such as EIRP, out-of-band emissions, noise figure, in-band spurii, and clock frequency stability.
  • Conduct architecture trade-offs for the RF section, including antenna and amplifier components.
  • Coordinate requirements flow-down and contribute to the specification writing for subsystems and units.
  • Review and assess supplier proposals to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Define verification and test approaches to ensure the highest standards of performance.
  • Contribute to the internal training, knowledge, and tools database.
  • Support test campaigns by analyzing measured payload performance and addressing anomalies/non-conformances.
  • Travel regularly to supplier and customer sites, providing technical support and participating in testing and technical meetings.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Signal Processing, or a comparable discipline.
  • Professional experience as a Systems Engineer, demonstrating expertise in RF systems.
  • Hands-on experience in the design, analysis, implementation, and measurement of RF systems, preferably with MIMO/beamforming systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently with a self-managed and proactive working style.
  • Working level proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
  • Experience in using Matlab for system analysis and design.
