About the role:

We are in search of a Investment Fellow (f/m/x) at the Investor Office to support us on enabling venture investments in the space tech start-up/scale-up ecosystem. This fellowship position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of the leading space tech VCs, international investors and some of most exciting space entrepreneurs that build Europe's future in space.

Integrated in the Investor Office crew you push the progress of our currently mandated contracts from the strongest global brands, space agencies and public organisations.

This position is based in Hamburg, Germany and is available for an immediate start.

In exceptional cases, remote work may be considered.

What you'll do:

• Conducting qualitative and quantitative market and investment analyses within the New Space ecosystem including start-ups, scale-ups, and active investor profiles.
• Assisting our acitoflux crew and ecosystem partners on critical analysis, and the development of our internal knowledge base.
• Network and partner with established and interested new space investors.
• Support in assessing New Space investment opportunities and facilitating fundraising navigating a structured multi-step process.
• Turn ecosystem insights into actionable support documents and memos for relevant investors
• Work at the intersection of the investment team: Support startup investments from initial assessment, drafting an equity story, connecting with investors, term sheet support and closing by supporting the structuring and closing of investment transactions.
• Demonstrating an interest in other digital industry ecosystems, such as automotive, telecommunications, logistics and transportation, and digital health.
• Work with an international crew focusing on scale-up investments across the entire New Space ecosystem as part of the ESA Business Accelerator Germany.

What we're looking for:

• You currently pursuing a master's degree in finance, economics, science, engineering, or a related field.
• You are interested in exploring the Space Tech venture capital community.
• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You have the ability to work in a crew setup and develop innovative ideas, including working with a variety of digital and AI-based tools such as MS Office Suite, Teams, Planner, Hubspot, etc.
• You think strategically and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
• You have a problem-solving approach and can create a variety of multiple solutions.
• You have a European mindset with bridge-building capabilities and considerate understanding for other cultures.
• You speak German and English fluently. Any other language is strongly recommended. You are an overall strong communicator.
• You are well-organized, flexible, build & maintain great relationships.
