Principal
to play a key role in driving investments that accelerate the transition to a sustainable, net-zero global economy. The firm backs founders building high-impact solutions across climate mitigation, environmental resilience, circularity, and resource efficiency—underpinned by rigorous scientific due diligence and a commitment to measurable, real-world impact.

The Opportunity

As a Principal, you will contribute significantly to the firm's investment strategy, sourcing high-potential opportunities, and leading transactions across early-stage European climate-tech companies. You will collaborate closely with founders, scientists, and industry operators to support breakthrough technologies and business models capable of driving systemic environmental change.

The role offers significant exposure to investment decision-making, portfolio management, and a highly collaborative, high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and execute early-stage climate-tech investments
  • Lead commercial, scientific, financial, and operational due diligence processes
  • Support deal structuring, valuation analysis, and negotiation of key terms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, investors, scientists, and co-investors
  • Partner with portfolio company teams to drive scaling, strategy, and impact measurement
  • Contribute to shaping the firm's long-term investment roadmap and thought leadership in climate and sustainability sectors
  • Mentor junior investment professionals and support team development
  • Prepare high-quality materials and recommendations for the Investment Committee

What We're Looking For

  • 6–10+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, climate-tech investing, or a combination of investing + entrepreneurial/operator background
  • Demonstrated track record leading early-stage transactions, ideally within climate, sustainability, deeptech, or industrial innovation
  • Strong network across climate-tech founders, research institutions, corporates, and co-investors
  • Ability to assess both commercial potential and scientific/technical feasibility
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
