We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our local plant. They will perform a variety of clerical functions required for HarbisonWalker International to ship orders and meet customer delivery requirements. Some of the duties include:

  • Preparing finished goods accurately for shipment according to customer requirements
  • Facilitating the flow of information between Supply Chain and the Customer Account Specialist to coordinate shipping priorities and ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Coordinating shipments with approved third-party logistic companies
  • Reconciliating inventory variances
  • Preparing export order paperwork
  • Coordinating warehouse cycle counts

Requirements:

  • Requires High School diploma
  • The Shipping Coordinator requires zero (0) – two (2) years of inventory and shipping experience, preferably in a refractory operation.
  • Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle ERP accounting system
  • Requires experience in working towards Lean production
  • Requires experience in inventory management planning performance metrics: raw material and finished goods inventory levels, customer service levels, cycle count accuracy, on-time delivery, day's on hand, physical inventory and delivery sales targets
  • Requires interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Requires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
