Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a PhD Position in Machine Learning for Enzyme Design, located in Halle. The candidate will be responsible for applying machine learning techniques to enzyme design, conducting research and data analysis, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of scientists. Tasks include developing and testing algorithms, analyzing enzyme functionality, and documenting research findings.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Machine Learning and Data Analysis techniques
  • Strong Computational Biology and Bioinformatics skills
  • Proficiency in Programming Languages such as Python and R
  • Knowledge of Enzyme Structure and Function
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in biochemical assays and enzymology is a plus
