We're on the lookout for a hands-on and experienced Engineering Team Lead (all identities) with deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and a lead who sees it as their responsibility to develop and unite diverse personalities into an efficient team.

You'll play a key role in shaping our technical direction, fostering a high-performing engineering culture, and ensuring delivery of scalable, maintainable systems.

Your Challenges

• Empowering a High-Caliber Engineering Team: With a proven track record of managing senior engineers, you will guide and empower an experienced team. As their sparring partner, you'll foster collaboration within the team and across departments, balancing guidance with autonomy to drive high performance
  
  

• Driving Technical Vision: Take ownership of long-term technical decisions, refactoring paths, and architectural evolution without always having clear-cut answers upfront
  
  

• Merging Hands-on Coding With Strategic Leadership: Lead from the front, coding actively while still setting strategy, giving feedback, and facilitating growth
  
  

• Balancing Product Priorities With Technical Debt: Work closely with product managers to prioritize work that delivers user value and keeps our codebase healthy and future-ready
  
  

Your profile

• Deep Technical Expertise in Ruby on Rails & Leadership - You have extensive hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments and a proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams working with this stack

• Strong System and Database Knowledge - You possess a robust understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, and are skilled in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for performance and scalability

• Cloud Infrastructure Proficiency (AWS) - You have practical experience working with AWS infrastructure, including the ability to integrate and manage cloud-based services to support scalable and reliable applications

• Commitment to Quality and Full-Stack Excellence –You promote testable and maintainable software, bring hands-on experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Cypress, and actively support testing best practices within the team. You are familiar with modern JavaScript frameworks including React, Angular, and React Native, collaborate effectively across disciplines, and demonstrate a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and high product quality

• Excellent Communication & Language Skills - You are a strong communicator and team player, with a solid command of English (both written and spoken) — essential for collaboration in our international team
