Data Science Intern (f/m/d)

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Yearly Salary: €2,250/month for Interns (40h/week)
• Work model: Full-time, hybrid (based in Munich)

Your role
As a Data Science Intern, you'll help bring our MRI technology to life by turning raw data into intelligence. You'll experiment with state-of-the-art machine learning methods and apply your statistical know-how to analyze complex MRI data quickly and accurately.

Working alongside experienced MRI scientists and ML engineers, you'll transform data into actionable insights that directly influence product development.

Every model you help build and every insight you uncover will make our MRI systems faster, smarter, and more reliable. This is your chance to learn from real-world challenges, grow your technical skills, and contribute to breakthrough innovations in AI-powered imaging.

Your day to day
In Your Daily Activities, You Will

• Train machine learning models, tune and analyse their performance.
• Visualise data and perform statistical analysis of model performance in development and production.
• Collaborate with fellow scientists and engineers as well as product and business to leverage multidisciplinary knowledge and deliver real impact.
• Learn and explore how to bring data science solutions to production and challenges of building AI-powered industrial MRI.

Machine learning and data science

• You have a strong background in computer science and machine learning approaches and concepts.
• You have strong statistical and data analysis foundations.
• You are proficient with Python and PyTorch, with a disciplined approach to software development including version control and clean code practices.
• You are passionate about continuous learning and keep up with the latest trends in machine learning and statistical analysis.

What Makes You Stand Out From Other Candidates

• You applied machine learning to 3D data and understand its unique challenges and complexities.
• You have hands-on expertise in working with MRI data, including raw k-space data and various MRI-specific data formats.
• You have machine learning experience in accelerating and processing MRI images, as well as experience in other imaging modalities and sensor fusion approaches.
