UniCredit Bank GmbH is continuously extending its Data & Analytics activities. The Digital and Intelligence Office plays a crucial role both in terms of managing the underlying data as well as providing analytical capabilities to the business and control functions of the bank. For this position we are looking for a future Data Scientist/Data Engineer with a keen desire to gain experience in the development of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence applications. You will be involved in the development and maintenance of machine learning models to support automation of critical business processes and applications. With your technical and personal competence, you will join a team responsible for the building of data products for the bank utilizing our big data platform.

• Explore and extract the value from data enabling the Businesses and Competence Lines of UniCredit Group to generate new sources of revenues or cost efficiencies opportunities.
• Manage and analyze multiple sources and datasets with the purpose of detecting unexpected regularities and patterns in available data to discover new insights.
• Define Analytics models and implement prototypes applying advanced statistical and methodological skills.
• Use big data to define predictive models and anticipate future outcomes: application of machine learning techniques required to achieve that.
• Hypothesis testing: developing hypothesis and testing them with careful experiments.

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or other computationally intense disciplines.
• Hands on experience in a data science / data analysis position
• Good knowledge of Data Analysis, AI, & ML
• Good knowledge of Data Exploration
• Good understanding of Python and SQL
• Goal-oriented, structured and independent way of working
• High level of commitment and ability to work under pressure as well as a convincing and confident manner
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, constantly changing environment
• Distinct social competence, ability to work in a team
• Ability to work in English; German skills are a plus
