About the Firm:

Our client is a growing private debt investment fund based in Frankfurt, which support mid-market companies through direct lending and structured credit solutions. The firm focuses on leveraged finance, private credit, and special situations investments across Germany and other European markets.

To support its expansion, the firm is looking to hire an Associate with a strong foundation in debt investment, leveraged finance, or credit analysis. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on investment experience and work closely with senior team members in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Analysis: Conduct financial modeling, credit analysis, and valuation assessments for potential debt investment opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Support deal execution by assisting in financial, legal, and commercial due diligence processes.
  • Market Research: Monitor the leveraged finance and private debt markets to identify trends and investment opportunities.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist in tracking financial performance and risk analysis of existing debt investments.
  • Transaction Support: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and materials for internal investment committees.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external advisors, banks, and company management teams to structure and execute transactions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in leveraged finance, private credit, corporate banking, M&A advisory, or debt investment funds.
  • Language Skills: Fluent German and English (both written and spoken) are essential.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, credit analysis, and valuation skills (LBO models, cash flow forecasting, etc.).
  • Soft Skills: Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced investment environment.
