Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Software Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through comprehensive testing and validation. You will work closely with developers and other engineers to create and execute test plans, report bugs, and help identify areas for improvement in the software. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality assurance and have a keen eye for identifying issues early in the development process. As a Software Test Engineer, you will contribute to enhancing the performance, usability, and reliability of our products by executing manual and automated tests, analyzing test results, and ensuring that products meet the highest standards before release. Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, with the ability to identify defects and track issues effectively. Familiarity with manual testing techniques is required, and knowledge of automated testing tools (such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG) is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working with development teams to understand requirements, develop test cases, and ensure the software meets functional and performance standards. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. While prior experience in software testing is a plus, candidates with a strong foundation in computer science, quality assurance principles, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with version control tools like Git and basic scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Shell) will also be beneficial. A proactive approach to learning new tools, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team will help you thrive in this role.
