Job Title: IT Administrator L1 / Service Engineer (m/f/x)

Location: Munich, Germany (on-site)

Hiring Mode: Freelance

Duration: 3 to 6months initially

Overview

The role is responsible for delivering end-to-end technical support for Experience Centers, covering infrastructure, Azure environments, AV systems, and demo/event readiness. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless operations across lab environments, customer demos, and meeting spaces while maintaining high reliability for all technology assets.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Onsite Infrastructure Support (Windows Servers administration)
  • Azure Identity Management Specialist

Nice to have:

  • Audiovisual (AV) Support Technician
  • Azure Basics

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Server Room Operations

Act as smart-hands support for Experience Center network and compute infrastructure.

Execute rack-and-stack activities, hardware provisioning, and structured decommissioning in the server room.

Manage incidents and problems across WAN/LAN/WLAN and core compute environments.

Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems.

Ensure the server room and on-prem infrastructure remain fully operational during business hours.

Experience Center Demo Environment Management

Deploy, configure, and support onsite demos and experience environments.

Perform daily system checks, walkthroughs, and validation of demo readiness.

Provide technical assistance to presenters, account teams, customers, and EC personnel.

Maintain detailed inventory of demo assets and equipment.

Manage EC-specific Azure subscriptions and resources.

Support rollouts of centralized solutions, platforms, and automation initiatives.

Serve as the onsite SME for the Experience Platform and its catalog of demos.

Build and manage Azure environments for hybrid cloud scenarios.

Customer Visits, Events & Executive Engagements

Deliver onsite technical support during customer meetings, workshops, and events.

Configure devices, coordinate setups, and ensure all technology is event-ready.

Manage short-term and long-term device allocation for events and engagements.

Technology Asset Lifecycle & Security Compliance

Manage device warranties, RMA cases, and coordination of repair activities.

Recommend improvements to equipment, tools, and operational processes.

Drive continuous optimization of EC technology operations.

Oversee recycling of legacy equipment in alignment with Microsoft compliance standards.

Coordinate with OEM partners, local IT teams, AV vendors, and integrators for repairs and replacements.

Plan and schedule equipment downtime and vendor activities.

Audio-Visual Operations & Room Readiness

Operate and maintain AV systems in meeting rooms, theatres, and demo spaces.

Plan and execute preventative maintenance cycles for AV equipment.

Provide rapid break-fix support to ensure minimal disruption to meetings or demos.

Assist with room upgrades, refresh projects, and new equipment setup.

Maintain accurate AV inventory and ensure all rooms meet Experience Center quality standards.
