WTG Engineer (m/w/d) Offshore Wind in Germany

To strengthen their offshore wind team in Germany, we are looking for a talented and motivated WTG Engineer (m/f/d) to join their expanding technical department in Germany. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex offshore wind projects from early development through to construction and commissioning – in a global organization with an entrepreneurial, hands-on spirit.

What You'll Be Doing

As WTG Engineer, you will be a key part of the technical and project development team, focusing on the design, procurement, and delivery of wind turbine systems for large-scale offshore projects. You will ensure that all WTG-related activities meet technical, commercial, and regulatory standards, contributing directly to the success of high-profile renewable energy projects. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing the technical evaluation and work packages related to WTG systems
• Coordinating schedules in line with overall project milestones and ensuring seamless interface management across disciplines
• Supporting the development, planning, and implementation of offshore (and occasionally onshore) wind projects across Europe
• Leading procurement, due diligence, and contract negotiations for WTG supply and related service agreements
• Overseeing the execution of supply contracts throughout fabrication, transport, installation, and commissioning phases
• Ensuring full compliance with certification, HSE, and regulatory standards
• Developing transport, assembly, and installation strategies in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Identifying and mitigating technical and project risks while maintaining strong communication between international project partners
• Preparing detailed technical documentation, specifications, and reports
• Supporting business cases, cost models, and scheduling activities to guide key investment decisions

What You Bring 

You are a technically driven engineer with a passion for renewable energy and hands-on experience in wind turbine technology. You enjoy collaborating across cultures and disciplines and thrive in a setting where technical excellence meets strategic vision:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Wind Energy Technology
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the offshore wind sector
• Strong knowledge of WTG technology, including design, certification, and project interfaces
• Experience in WTG procurement, due diligence, and supplier management
• Solid project management skills and familiarity with contractual, financial, and scheduling frameworks
• Excellent negotiation, intercultural communication skills, and independent work style
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
• Confident use of MS Office and general IT tools
