Project Overview
The project focuses on developing a management support system designed to accompany complex mission information systems throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes processes from initial setup and manufacturing to data center management and operational planning.

Through a
model-based approach
, the system automatically generates setup scripts that enable end users to install, configure, and update mission-critical IT systems in a standardized and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, and integration of software components across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Further development of a web-based portal for the structured visualization of data, documents, maps, and progress or status information related to various projects, assets, and configurations.
• Connecting the frontend to backend services through REST APIs to ensure efficient client-server communication.
• Designing and implementing wizard-based user interfaces that guide users through complex workflows, such as creating new projects or configuring IT services.
• Developing role- and context-specific user interfaces, including interactions with third-party systems via hyperlinks, deep links, or embedded components.
• Applying modern UI/UX principles to ensure intuitive user experiences and visually consistent designs.
• Participating in code reviews, UX feedback loops, and collaborative design discussions to maintain code quality and usability.
• Working in an agile development environment, actively contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Qualifications
Education

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical or business discipline (university or applied sciences).

Languages

• German: Level C1 (CEFR)
• English: Level B1 (CEFR)

Professional Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the development of production-grade web applications.

• Proven experience with:

• React and TypeScript, including libraries such as react-hook-form and react-router.

• Developing complex UI components using shadcn, radix-ui, and tailwindcss for multi-step wizard workflows and maintaining these in Storybook.
• Implementing role-based authorization and secure frontend architectures.
• Conducting code reviews and providing UX feedback within agile teams.
• UX/UI design, form logic, and interactive map integration (e.g., GIS components, map tiles).
• Working with modular architectures, focusing on decoupling, testability, and maintainability.
• Using agile development tools such as Atlassian Jira or equivalent.
• Version control and source management with Git and Git Bash.
• Implementing unit and integration tests using tools such as Vitest.
