Role Overview

The Senior IT Architect is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing complex, cross-service IT solutions based on defined architectural frameworks. The role includes providing IT architecture consulting, ensuring compliance with IT security and data protection regulations, and maintaining architectural consistency across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the design, consistency, and continuity of IT architectures within the enterprise collaboration and system management infrastructure.
• Develop and evaluate solution variants within the existing IT landscape to implement service-oriented, automated business processes.
• Optimize and enhance IT infrastructure performance by improving interfaces between systems such as order portals, IAM, Active Directory, and backend systems.
• Design test scenarios and test cases, and validate concepts in testing and integration environments according to defined processes and tools.
• Analyze technical and business problems, develop implementation strategies, and propose architectural solutions.
• Prepare and present technical solution concepts and documentation to stakeholders.
• Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects according to release schedules.
• Prepare and maintain service documentation, architecture guidelines, and checklists.
• Provide technical consulting to project teams and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
• Support agile working methods and cross-departmental collaboration.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Alternatively, at least
  10 years of professional experience
  in IT architecture or related fields.

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation
  certification (e.g., ITIL v3 or later).
• Certification in
  Architectural Thinking
  ,
  TOGAF Foundation
  , or
  NAF
  (or equivalent).

Languages

• German (C1)
  and
  English (B1)
  according to CEFR.

Professional Experience

• 5+ years
  of practical experience with
  Microsoft Exchange
  and/or
  SharePoint On-Premise
  technologies supporting environments with
  10,000+ users
  .
• 5+ years
  of experience in
  Microsoft Exchange
  or
  SharePoint Enterprise / Multifarm
  environments.
• 5+ years
  of experience with
  Microsoft infrastructure
  and its integration into system management frameworks, including directory services and groupware platforms.
• 3+ years
  of experience using
  JIRA
  and working in agile environments (e.g., Scrum).
