Celonis AI Group (CeloAI) is a horizontal team within Celonis that is dedicated to developing state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies for Celonis products and empower enterprises and institutions to make intelligent business decisions and achieve operational excellence. Join our pioneering team to redefine the future of process management and process mining with artificial intelligence. We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer who will be instrumental in designing and building the next generation of AI-powered solutions that sense, reason, action, and learn from complex business processes.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of process management, process mining, machine learning, and software engineering. You will be responsible for creating robust, scalable systems that transform raw process data into actionable insights and intelligent automation. You will bridge the worlds of Python-based AI development and our core .NET platform, creating a seamless and powerful product experience.

• Deeply understand customer business needs and translate them into concrete technical problems, often AI-related
• Design and develop scalable, high-quality AI/ML solutions and intelligent approaches to power our AI assistants and agents
• Partner with researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers to bring new features to our platform
• Design and develop intelligent solutions to sense, reason, analyze, action, and learn from enterprise operational data
• Design and build APIs and infrastructure to serve such data at scale and with low latency
• Design and implement intelligent ways to ensure the freshness and accuracy of data across thousands of enterprise customers

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge
• Experience with Python AND C# .NET 8/9  with deep understanding/expertise in at least one of these languages  
• 3+ years industry experience as a software engineer in and Python
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with the test frameworks
• Proven experience and competent in both the development and use of REST APIs
• Identify with the Celonis value of customer first, passionate about solving real world customer problems with a focus on finding the right solution regardless of the nature of the solution
• Passionate about developing scalable and efficient AI/ML solutions, particularly working with LLMs in the context of assistants and agents (e.g., prompt engineering, tool development, MCP, evaluations, and benchmarking)
