JOB SUMMARY
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Agora, you will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of our stablecoin infrastructure. You'll design and maintain monitoring systems, develop automation to reduce toil, and enable engineering teams with self-service observability and operational insights. Your work will directly shape the resilience of AUSD and the Agora stack, ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of trust and availability.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of software engineering and operations, enjoys building tooling that accelerates other teams, and wants to help define reliability practices for a fast-moving, crypto-native financial platform.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles.Strong expertise with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and experience building actionable, application-level metrics.Proficiency with at least one programming language for automation (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Python).Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized services.Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems and driving improvements in reliability and performance.Clear, concise communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of building internal tooling, self-service dashboards, or developer platforms that reduce cognitive load for other teams.Experience leading or contributing to incident response and postmortem practices, with a focus on continuous improvement.Familiarity with defining and delivering on reliability goals (SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, OKRs).Background in performance optimization, capacity planning, and resilience engineering.Passion for building secure, compliant, and scalable systems in fintech, payments, or blockchain.Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or distributed team environment.
