What does a successful Solution Lead DevOps do?

As a Solution Lead DevOps, you will take on a pivotal role in driving the technical strategy and implementation of DevOps solutions for our globally available 24/7 payment gateway solution.

What you will do

• Your focus will be to safeguard production while teams implement their changes.
• Collaborate closely with our DevOps Engineers and our agile development teams to continuously improve and automate our software development process and runtime environments
• Plan work for the team within Jira, track progress, and provide KPIs to measure project success
• Enhance solutions reliably through Configuration as Code and GitOps as part of an international team.
• Conduct regular assessments of system performance and identify areas for enhancement
• Oversee our ELK monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution
• Continuously improve our Payment gateway documentation (Runbook, Standard Operation procedures, Alert and Incident descriptions, DevOps Projects and Solutions).
• Drive Incident Resolution calls as payment gateway SME to minimize impact for our clients and support in Root cause analysis and client/ management communication preparation

What you will need to have

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Master degree in Computer Science preferred.
• Extensive experience in DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a cross-functional, heterogenous and distributed team effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• You are able to work independently and multitask effectively, drive yourself and other towards task completion

What would be great to have

• You have worked before in an agile development environment and you are familiar with the PI Planning process and to are able to understand how to align the development to deliver effective towards a PI and Release
• You have experience in working with a multi locational matrix organisation where technology teams and delivery is done across multiple teams and locations
