A growing industrial manufacturing site near Hamburg is looking for a
Strategic Purchaser
to strengthen its strategic procurement activities and support the ongoing transformation of the site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead
    strategic sourcing
    and direct material procurement
  • Manage supplier negotiations and key supplier relationships
  • Run sourcing projects in collaboration with R&D and internal stakeholders
  • Support new supplier onboarding and production/investment projects
  • Contribute to digitalisation, process optimisation, and SAP improvements

About you

  • 5 - 10 years experience in
    strategic procurement/technical procurement
    (direct materials a strong plus)
  • Also suitable for operational purchasers ready to move into strategic roles, or engineers/chemists looking for a commercial path
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • German required
    (conversational level)
