About the Role

Our client is a German company at the forefront of large-scale battery storage and grid flexibility solutions. Their digital team drives innovation across the business, building secure and scalable platforms that enable data-driven decision-making and the integration of renewable energy into the grid. To strengthen this team, we are looking for a Data Platform Solution Architect to design and implement a central data platform that will serve as the foundation for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build a robust, scalable data platform enabling business units to access, analyze, and act on critical data.
  • Develop data models and structures that unify diverse data sources, ensuring quality, performance, and reusability.
  • Define and implement security, backup, and recovery concepts to ensure stability and compliance.
  • Lead data migrations, integrations, and orchestration across heterogeneous systems.
  • Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into dashboards, access concepts, and usable structures.
  • Document solutions, support training, and foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Act as both architect and hands-on engineer, combining design with implementation.

Profile

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics, or similar field.
  • 3+ years' experience building data platforms and data models with measurable business impact.
  • Strong background in data modeling and working with time series/tabular data.
  • Experience in agile environments with iterative development (e.g. SCRUM).
  • Strong communication skills in German and English; able to translate technical topics for diverse stakeholders.
  • Service-oriented, pragmatic, and solution-driven with attention to documentation and long-term usability.
  • You are able to be on-site in the Munic office 2 days/week
