Sr. Field Sales Engineer (Key Account)

The Sr. Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing key accounts within an established geographic territory (Central EU).  This person is to engage with key customers and distribution partners securing design wins incorporating MPS products and services.

Essential Functions:

  • Contribute to MPS US Revenue growth through direct and in-direct technical sales activities.
  • Manage existing key accounts, distribution and non-direct sales channel in the assigned geographic territory. 
  • Develop solid technical understanding of our products and relevant solutions. 
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow MPS business at defined Key Accounts
  • Gather customer feedback towards the development of next generation MPS solutions. 
  • Drive the customer requirements internally and manage all levels of follow-up and support ensuring that the customer's needs and requirements are exceeded
  • Work as a team with the assigned FAE and effectively manage this resource to maximize
  • value-add to the customer.

Desired attributes:

  • Self-motivated to work as an individual sales contributor in a field.
  • Technical ability to learn entire MPS product portfolio and the "go to market" strategy for each product line.
  • Ability to engage strong sales personnel (including manufacturer representatives and channel partners)
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as active listening, collaboration, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and adaptability.
  • Ability to interface with MPS executive staff and product divisions to explain/defend key business strategies, revenue targets and customer situations within assigned territory
  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of personnel (both customer and MPS internal divisions/executives.)

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree (minimum bachelors), preferably in an Engineering discipline or a proven track record of success in selling electronic components for 5+ years. 
  • A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel extensively 3-4 days per week
  • Oral/written proficiency in English

  • Central EU (Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands)
