Job Description

DP World has big ambitions for sustainability, with a commitment
to be a net zero company by 2050. This requires significant changes
to how the business operates, how we plan our future and how we
invest. Ensuring we achieve our climate goals by working with all
parts of the business, our operations and staff is critical to
achieving this. 

The Director EV Road freight transition and growth will lead
different stakeholders and functions to create an ecosystem of
operations, systems, tools and assets to accelerate DP World's EV
Road freight product offer. They will lead and deliver European
road freight operations regarding the implementation and growth of
new EV products and enable the transition of road freight
operations from diesel to EV over the next 5 years. This role will
also cover the enablement of transitioning our third-party road
fleet to EV by 2040.

       KEY
ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and lead an EV road freight implementation strategy for
  Europe 
• Establish, lead and deliver a strategy for Project Leaf, our
  ambition to have 1,000 new EV HGV on the road in Europe by
  2030
• Lead DP World's own operations the transition of our existing
  fleet to EV by 2030
• Drive the transformation of employee, operational and
  commercial behaviour to make DP World road operations an "EV first"
  business
• Work with group and other regional logistics and road ops teams
  to demonstrate the growth potential of EV road freight, and advise
  on their transition as required
• Lead from road operations the development of a new, pure EV
  road offer targeting 1,000 EV trucks by 2030, delivering services
  over the following scenarios and utilising own- and third-party
  fleets: Port drayage, Short distance logistics (under
  150kms),  Long distance logistics (over 150kms)
• Build and deliver a strategy for our real estate teams,
  covering the identification of suitable charging locations and
  truck parking for EV vehicles from a strategic growth view
• Lead the road freight procurement team to identify the correct
  vehicle types needed to deliver existing and future road freight
  services and products 
• Lead road freight operations from an EV perspective, helping
  other senior leaders transition their business units and mindset
  from ICE to EV.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Expert knowledge of European road freight and operations,
  including leadership and ownership of P&L
• Experience of leading and implementing EV truck solutions in
  both a growth and transition situations, including an understanding
  and knowledge of OEM strategies with their electric road freight
  products
• Expert knowledge and experience with corporate environmental
  strategies and topics such as road freight, electric vehicles, port
  drayage
• A strong passion for, and understanding of, sustainability
  issues. An understanding of air pollution and greenhouse gases, and
  solutions
• Understanding of existing and emerging broader ESG reporting
  protocols 
• Strong project management, communication and stakeholder
  management skills
• Experience leading teams and developing people
• Ability to connect key sustainability knowledge into business
  topics
• Flexibility to travel - up to 25% of the time across the globe
  to our operations and regional offices to conduct meetings and
  support new business operations
• Fluent Polish and English – additional languages are a bonus,
  in particular German, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French,
  Mandarin, Hindi
• Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel,
  PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
• Sustainability and environmental management qualifications are
  preferred, but not critical.
