About the Role:
Denza is the new brand from BYD. The world's largest manufacturer of electrified cars, headquartered in Shenzhen (China), is also coming to Germany this year with its new premium brand Denza. One of the first models of the new BYD brand is the Z9 GT shooting brake, equipped with unique technical features.
As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing plan for Germany, aligned with business objectives and global strategies. You will lead national events, manage advertising and digital campaigns, oversee dealer marketing and PR activities, and manage the marketing budget.
This role demands a customer-oriented mindset, excellent digital and communication skills, and a strong ability to prioritize and innovate. You will work closely with the European PR/Events team and local dealers, and cultivate relationships with digital media and social influencers to ensure brand visibility and success.
You will report directly to the Denza Sales Director for Germany, with a dotted line to the BYD marketing teams in Germany and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and own the holistic premium communication strategy for the Denza brand in the German market. Ensure alignment with the overall European marketing plan and lead its localized implementation and continuous optimization.
- End-to-End Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and oversee all brand activation campaigns for Denza in Germany (e.g., launch events, experiential activities, partnership initiatives). Take full responsibility for the entire process—from planning and execution to post-campaign analysis—using data-driven insights to measure effectiveness and guide future strategy.
- Media & PR Leadership: Manage all press and media relations in Germany. Develop compelling narratives, secure high-quality coverage, and ensure the brand and product stories are communicated accurately and impactfully.
- Cross-functional & Cross-regional Alignment: Serve as the key liaison, ensuring seamless strategic and operational alignment for all communication activities between BYD Europe HQ and local German teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing) to drive integrated efforts and resource synergy.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
- Experience in communication with premium automotive brands, including substantial professional experience in sectors such as automotive, fashion, lifestyle, and initial leadership experience.
- Previous experience in both marketing and PR.
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach with a can-do mentality and explicit problem-solving skills.
- A proven network in the German media landscape.
- Fluent German and English skills; additional languages a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work cross-functionally in diverse, international teams.
