About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven
Event Marketing Manager
to lead the end-to-end planning, execution and optimization of Geely's brand and dealer events in the German market. You will be the core driver of offline and hybrid event strategies, aligning all activities with the regional marketing objectives to enhance brand visibility, drive customer engagement and support sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration skills and a deep understanding of the German automotive event landscape.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Event Management & Leadership
- Lead the planning, execution and post-event evaluation of
all brand and dealer events
for Geely in the German market, including new car launches, media test drives, auto shows, dealer experience days and potential customer engagement campaigns. - Align event strategies with the global brand team's marketing roadmap, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and positioning while adapting to local market preferences.
- Manage a team of event specialists (or coordinate with cross-functional partners) to deliver seamless event execution, from concept design to on-site operation and post-event follow-up.
Creative Production & Post-Event Dissemination
- Oversee the creative development and production of event materials (including display assets, promotional collaterals, digital content and brand merchandise), ensuring alignment with Geely's brand identity and quality standards.
- Develop post-event dissemination plans, collaborate with the digital marketing team to amplify event reach via social media, press releases and media partnerships, and track content performance metrics.
- Analyze customer feedback and event data to refine creative strategies for future activities.
Budget & Supplier Governance
- Independently develop, manage and optimize the
event marketing budget
, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal allocation of resources across brand and dealer-level activities. - Build and manage a robust network of local suppliers (including event venues, production teams, caterers and logistics partners), conduct vendor evaluations and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor supplier performance throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery, quality compliance and adherence to brand guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Sales Alignment
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to design dealer-focused events that drive lead generation and sales conversion, providing on-site support during key dealer activities.
- Liaise with the communications team to coordinate media attendance, press conferences and influencer collaborations for high-profile events such as new car launches.
- Partner with the product team to integrate product highlights and GTM (Go-to-Market) objectives into event content, ensuring accurate and compelling product storytelling.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for all events, including attendance rates, lead conversion rates, media coverage volume, brand sentiment and ROI.
- Compile comprehensive post-event reports with data analysis and actionable insights, presenting findings to the regional marketing leadership team and recommending strategy optimizations.
Job Requirements
Professional Experience
- At least
5 years of event marketing experience in the automotive industry
, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, high-impact events (auto shows, new car launches, regional brand campaigns). - Deep familiarity with the
German event market landscape
, including local auto show regulations, dealer event best practices and regional customer preferences. - Prior experience in team leadership or cross-functional project management is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in end-to-end event planning, from strategic conceptualization to on-site execution and performance evaluation.
- Strong supplier management skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts, resolve issues and ensure consistent quality delivery.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Data-driven mindset, with the ability to define KPIs, analyze event performance and translate insights into actionable improvements.
Language & Soft Skills
- Fluent in English and German
(both written and oral) as working languages; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus. - Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, local partners and external vendors.
