Job Description SummaryJoin our evolving combustion team at the Aviation Advanced Technology Center of Excellence as a Working Student. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and applying state of the art and cutting-edge computational tools and post-processing procedures for test data related to combustion systems of GE Aerospace's revolutionary technology demonstrators.

Start will be around April 1st, working hours are 15-20 per week and minimum duration 6 months

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our interdisciplinary teams, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the development of new generations of combustion systems for aero engines,

  • Drive the enhancement of post-processing tools to assess test data,

  • Apply CFD-based methods to predict the stability of combustion systems,

  • Participate actively in organizational efforts within assigned projects and tasks, making a tangible impact.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a master's program in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Process Engineering

  • Proficiency in numerical procedures like CFD with a solid knowledge in the field of combustion, aerodynamics and acoustics,

  • Proficiency in using engineering tools like CAD and MATLAB/Simulink as well as some programming experience (preferably Python),

  • A strong academic track record, demonstrating your commitment to excellence,

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration and information sharing,

  • A proactive attitude that fuels your motivation to overcome challenges and deliver results,

  • Openness and creativity, inspiring innovative thinking and problem-solving,

  • A team-oriented approach, thriving in a complex multi-site network structure,

  • Fluency in English, ensuring seamless communication within our international team.

  • Initiative to deepen your technical expertise in engine simulation and modeling methods, keeping abreast of the latest advancements,
