My client are urgently seeking an experienced
Freelance Project Manager
to lead and coordinate activities within an offshore wind development or construction project in Germany. The role involves managing interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of project milestones.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in offshore wind or large-scale infrastructure projects, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and proven experience delivering complex projects under strict regulatory and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery within agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and HSE).
  • Manage contractor performance and interface management across supply chain partners.
  • Ensure compliance with German and EU offshore wind regulations and certification requirements
  • Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and manage risk registers and mitigation plans.
  • Support contract administration and change management processes.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication between onshore, offshore, and client teams.
  • Uphold high safety, environmental, and quality standards across all project phases.
  • Liaise with grid operators, port authorities, and local stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project management within offshore wind, renewable energy, or marine construction.
  • Proven track record managing large EPC or balance-of-plant packages.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore installation processes, logistics, and HSE standards.
  • Fluent in English (professional working proficiency).
  • Working knowledge of German regulations and ability to operate effectively in Germany.
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA certification (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
