**Role Description**

TechChase GmbH is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and **highly motivated System Administrator** for a full-time, on-site role in Mainz. This isn't just about maintaining systems; it's about proactively optimizing, securing, and evolving our critical IT infrastructure that underpins our Cloud and AI Agent Systems. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our advanced environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

*  **Daily Management & Optimization:** Overseeing the daily operation, monitoring, and proactive optimization of our diverse IT systems, with a strong focus on Cloud and AI-centric infrastructure.

*  **Network & System Stability:** Ensuring the high availability, reliability, and performance of our networks and systems through vigilant monitoring, preventative maintenance, and rapid incident response.

*  **Advanced Troubleshooting & Support:** Providing expert-level technical support to users and internal teams, diagnosing and resolving complex system-related issues with a solutions-oriented mindset.

*  **Deployment & Configuration:** Architecting, deploying, configuring, and meticulously maintaining hardware and software across our organizational systems, with an emphasis on automation and scalability.

*  **Security & Compliance:** Implementing and enforcing robust security measures, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with best practices to protect our sensitive data and systems.

*  **Innovation & Improvement:** Actively seeking out and implementing new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, performance, and security of our IT landscape.

*  **Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:** Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations, contributing to a strong knowledge base within the team.

**Qualifications**

*  **Expert-Oriented System Administration:** Proven proficiency in advanced System Administration, including extensive experience managing complex server environments (Linux/Windows), virtualization platforms, and containerization technologies. A strong desire to achieve expert-level mastery is essential.

*  **Deep Troubleshooting & Proactive Support:** Exceptional skills in diagnosing and resolving intricate technical issues, with a proactive approach to identifying potential problems before they impact operations. Experience providing hands-on, high-level technical support.

*  **Advanced Network Administration:** Solid experience in network administration, including configuring, monitoring, and maintaining complex network systems (firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs), with an understanding of network security best practices and cloud networking concepts.

*  **Cloud & AI Infrastructure Acumen:** A strong background in Information Technology, with a keen understanding of modern IT infrastructure, particularly as it relates to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and the underlying systems supporting AI/ML workloads. Eagerness to stay updated on emerging technologies in these domains.

*  **Automation & Scripting Prowess:** Demonstrated ability to automate routine tasks and manage infrastructure as code using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

*  **Security-First Mindset:** A deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, with experience implementing and managing security tools and protocols.

*  **Effective Communication & Collaboration:** Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work seamlessly within a high-performing team and effectively communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders.

*  **Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.** Relevant professional experience and a demonstrated track record of continuous learning may substitute for a degree.

*  **Advanced Certifications are Highly Advantageous:** Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent demonstrate your commitment to expertise.
