TRON is a non-university, biopharmaceutical research institute in the legal form of a non-profit organization.

The company’s aim is to develop highly innovative technologies to address medical needs in the fields of

cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. TRON was founded in Mainz in 2010 and works actually in close

cooperation with universities and clinics as well as with regional, national and international research institutions

and companies in the pharmaceutical industry.

Since the great demand for the data analysis regarding the development of novel vaccines, including the Covid
- 19 vaccines, our Linux systems have been extended significantly. For this reason, we are searching for any

support by a Linux expert who can prove his experience for the smooth operation of our Linux systems as well

as for their expansion, to support all our users in the end.

Therefore our _Data Management_ Team is looking as soon as possible a for

**Linux System Administrator (M/F/d)**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES **

Administration, configuration and support of Linux based IT landscape and software

Maintenance of TRON’s own HPC cluster

Analysis and optimization of performance and troubleshooting

Communication between users and developers/system administrators/IT department

Support of users and continuous contact to provider

**QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE **

Degree (BA, MSc) in bioinformatics, informatics, computer science or any comparable study program or

certified job training (German Fachinformatiker level or equivalent)

Profound working experience in Linux administration

Additional working experience in virtualization, network, automatisation and shell scripting

Any further knowledge in working with biological data would be a plus

A distinct knowledge in some of the following technologies would be preferred: RHEL 7/CentOS 7/9,

Puppet, Git/GiLab, Bash, MariaDB, Apache, SLURM, DOCKER

Experience with personnel management of any kind would finally complete your profile.
