Principal Product Designer

Mirelo AI is building the next generation of creative tools by generating realistic sound, speech and music from video.

We develop cutting-edge foundational generative AI models that "unmute" silent video content and create custom, hyper-realistic audio for gaming, video platforms, and creators. Our technology empowers global storytellers to transform their content. With pre-seed funding from Atlantic, we are rapidly expanding across Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Growth.

Your mission is to transform Mirelo's generative audio capabilities into a product creators genuinely love and return to again and again, helping define product-market fit through craft, iteration, and real user feedback.

As our first Product Design hire, you'll define how creators interact with AI-generated sound and shape the core experience of Mirelo's products. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you'll work directly with users and their data to turn raw AI capabilities into tools creators actually want to use. You'll iterate based on early user feedback and design intuitive, expressive interfaces for a new class of generative video-audio tools, translating complex model capabilities into simple, powerful user flows.

As the founding designer, you'll have outsized impact on how our technology becomes a real product for creators.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end UX/UI for Mirelo's AI-powered creative products - from early concepts to polished, shipped features that delight users.
• Translate powerful generative audio models into intuitive, creator-friendly interaction patterns and workflows. This is the core challenge.
• Act as the critical link between raw AI capabilities and tangible creator value. Rapidly prototype and test concepts to ensure our tech meets genuine user needs.
• Embed deeply with our early customers and product data. Gather qualitative feedback and quantitative insights to drive continuous, high-velocity design iteration.
• Partner closely with product and engineering to define requirements, explore solutions, and ensure the high-quality, feasible implementation of your designs.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes that communicate interaction ideas and explore novel, emergent behaviors driven by AI.
• Establish foundational design principles, patterns, and lightweight systems that scale as the product and the entire AI-driven feature set evolves.

• Multiple years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of end-to-end product work and high-craft interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous, technical concepts - especially AI-driven functionality - into elegant, intuitive designs.
• Data-informed design approach: comfortable using both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide decisions.
• Passion for the creator ecosystem: you've experimented with video-gen or music-gen tools, are a creator yourself, or have meaningful industry exposure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers, PMs, and research partners.

• Experience designing creative tools, editors, DAWs, or other high-complexity interactive products.
• Familiarity with generative AI UX patterns or AI assistant-style interfaces.
• Experience contributing to or building early-stage design systems.
