Job Description:
Our clients are looking for a talented and driven Investment Banking Associate to join their team in Frankfurt. The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing financial transactions, conducting financial analysis, and supporting senior bankers in client engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and financial restructuring transactions
- Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and industry research
- Prepare presentation materials for client meetings, including pitch books, information memorandums, and financial analysis
- Support senior bankers in client interactions, including due diligence processes, negotiation of deal terms, and communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and other advisors, to ensure successful transaction execution
- Contribute to business development efforts, including market research, client prospecting, and pitch preparation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus
- 2-4 years of investment banking experience, preferably in an Investment Bank or M&A Boutique.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in German and English is required; additional languages are a plus
