Piper Maddox has partnered with a global commodities trading company who are scaling their desk focused on renewable and flexible assets. To support this they're looking for a Power Originator to join the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Origination: source and structure new opportunities across wind, solar PV and battery storage portfolios
  • Lead contract negotiations across the full value chain (including PPAs)
  • Establish, build and maintain strong customer relationships with market participants
  • Monitor and analyse market trends and activity to support strategy and product positioning
  • Develop commercial offerings aligned with customer needs and market developments, including pricing, terms, and risk considerations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years experience in the German energy markets, ideally in Origination
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and proven deal-making experience
  • Native-level German and fluent English
  • Willingness to travel in Germany
